This product is easy to apply to hair. It doesn't cause staining on the scalp but color is not vibrant and fades faster than desired.I like the color and the priceI like the quality of the product, but it took too long to apply and still it did not cover my gray. I would not purchase this semi-permanent coloring again, will stick with permanent coloring from now on.Love it uses it for my moms hairSome of these reviews are negative and I always wonder if people follow the directions. Like many hair stylists recommend, I only went 1 shade darker than my natural hair color. As directed, I apply to unshampooed hair. I let set, covered, (without heat, which is recommended), and my hair was absolutely 1 shade darker. The product smelled rather pleasant, applied well, and did not damage my hair. The color is supposed to last 6-10 washes. It absolutely lasted that and as it washed out, my hair color continued to look natural. It is unlikely you will be unhappy with the results if you fail to follow directions to attempt to dye your hair more than 1 or 2 shades darker than your natural color. This product is not designed to be used to lighten hair.Buy the powder and mix your own for better resultsI have a lot of natural gray hair. It has been 9 months since I stopped coloring my hair. I will not be using permanent hair dye again. So, I tried the semi permanent. I purchased a Dark Brown bottle. Honestly, I am not a big fan of seeing colored water everytime I take shower, but its semi permanent so it does exactly what it says. Also, I can apply it straight from the bottle. Apart from all of that, it won't damage your hair like the permanent hair color.The semi permanent hair color covers the grey nicely and is gentle on my hair. Turns out great when used with a good conditioner plus leave-on conditioner.Not happy ..first time I've used this liquid as normally use the powder .The dye was left on for 30 mins THEN further 5 mins ..i checked before wash off ..no sign of colour ..but to my horror my roots are lighter ..its lightened my roots as that's the only place I put it ...wrecked my hair ..It was all one colour of dark brown prior ..now its light brown roots and dark ends . From washing colour out it has dried up all ...not happy ..must be a dodgie batch..chemicals added for this to happen I'm sureI tried this product on my relaxed hair and was amazed at the coverage. It is fantastic!didn't fully cover my grey's, will have to return to using Bigen permanentBest quality thank youI had dyed my hair a Black Purple last month, the colour began to fade to a red-orangey color (instead of black like I thought it would) so I ordered this product to get the purple back without a lot of damage.The positives of this product:-The product is reusable (because it's ammonia and peroxide free you don't have to worry about the dye exploding) which I really liked because I used over half the bottle and I get to save the rest for touch ups.-The dye doesn't smell horrible like boxed dyes -it actually smells really good.-The dye didn't turn my hair the color in the picture (but I didn't bleach my hair, I had black/orangey/red hair) but it did turn it into beautiful shades of purple. My hair color isn't just one shade so I had an odd result but I still like it. The dye basically made my hair dark purple in some sections and light in the other (but not very bright).-The dye did close to no damage to my hair (my hair easily gets dried out and this product actually made it feel softer after using it!!!)The negatives of this product:-The dye comes in a very small and skinny bottle, I used over half the bottle and my hair doesn't even reach my shoulders (the length is just past my ears). If you have long hair you're going to have to order a few bottles.-If you're not planning on bleaching your hair the color won't be bright like in the picture (that goes for all bright hair colors in general). Unless you're born with blond hair or already have purple hair I'd recommend this product. You can try this product on dark hair but don't expect very bright purple hair.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I've already another bottle to upkeep my hair.
