Amsterdam Standard is Royal Talens' inexpensive line of student-grade acrylic paint. It's made in the Netherlands. Their professional line of acrylics is called Expert.These have a smooth, moderately-thick feel, similar to other student-grade acrylics like Liquitex Basics. They will retain some brush and knife marks if applied thickly, but not quite as much as professional acrylics. As can be expected, most colors darken a bit as they dry - especially the dark ones. They dry to a satin finish.This color (Permanent Blue Violet), is a semi-transparent, intense 'grape' purple when spread out thinly. When applied thickly it dries to a purple so deep & rich it's almost black. The Sap Green and Phthalo Blue also have good depth of color. I also tried Nickel Titanate Yellow and it was a beautiful and useful color but disappointing opacity. That color has been reformulated with a different pigment - I haven't yet tried it.These come in several large sizes, and I like their tubes have a flip-top cap rather than the small, difficult-to-grip caps that some other acrylics have. You can also buy Amsterdam 'dosing nozzles' for the these which allow you to squeeze out raised lines of paint.
